W. Michael Jarrett
President & CEO
Mike Jarrett founded Jarrett in 1999 with a vision to establish the company as a market leader in the supply chain industry by delivering world-class service with exceptional people and innovative technology. Jarrett’s people-centric, tech-enabled solutions have redefined the logistics and supply chain industry. Prior to launching Jarrett, Mike honed his leadership and operational expertise as Vice President of Carrier Operations at Caliber Logistics, based in Hudson, Ohio (now FedEx Supply Chain Services), where he played a key role after joining the company in 1991. Prior to joining Caliber Logistics, Mike began his career at Roadway Express in 1987 as a Dock Supervisor.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mount Union and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Akron.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mike is deeply committed to his community. He currently serves as Chair of the Heartland Education Community Board of Trustees, a trustee on the Wayne County Community Foundation Board, and a member of the University of Mount Union Board of Trustees.
Mike and his wife, Diane, reside in Orrville, Ohio, and are the proud parents of two daughters, Alexa and Madeline and grandparents of their grandson.
Diane Jarrett
Director, Special Projects
Diane Jarrett serves as the Director of Special Projects at Jarrett, where she plays a pivotal role in driving key initiatives across the organization. In this capacity, Diane oversees a wide range of responsibilities, including property acquisitions, facility design and furnishings, strategic planning, marketing, customer service, and employee training and development. Her attention to detail and strategic insights contribute to the continued growth and success of the company.
In addition to her work at Jarrett, Diane is actively involved in Zephyrs Fitness and CrossFit Orrville, where she shares her passion for fitness as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
Before co-founding Jarrett Companies with her husband, Mike Jarrett, Diane spent 10 years in the nursing field, building a foundation of care and service. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kent State University.
Diane is also deeply committed to community service. She currently chairs the Aultman Orrville Hospital Board and serves on the Austin Bailey Health and Wellness Foundation, a regional private grant-making foundation. Additionally, she volunteers with Wayne County Children Services, reflecting her dedication to making a positive impact.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Diane enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her pets, and pursuing her personal fitness goals—most notably perfecting her handstand. Her life is centered around faith, family, and community.
Steven Dotterer
Chief Financial Officer
Steven Dotterer joined Jarrett in 2006 and is currently responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting department. He also oversees the administration of human resources and helps maintain JLS's IT network.
A certified public accountant (CPA), Steven Dotterer started his career as a staff accountant at Croskey, Hostetler & Mapes, PLL, where he was responsible for preparing individual and corporate tax returns, as well as compiling and reviewing financial statements.
He then joined McIlvaine Trucking, a Wooster, Ohio–based company that specializes in the transportation of hazardous liquids in bulk, where he spent 10 years as controller. In this position, he was responsible for the consolidated financial and tax reporting of multiple entities, upgrading and maintaining the company's IT network and managing the day-to-day activities of the accounting department. Steven has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Ashland University.
In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with family and serving on the board of the Apostolic Christian home.
Matt Wagner
Chief Sales & Marketing Officer
Matt Wagner has more than two decades of expertise in business development and sales management, specializing in supply chain management solutions. As Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Jarrett, he is responsible for developing the sales and marketing strategy and execution to drive new business growth and brand awareness.
In 2007, he began his logistics career with Jarrett as a Manager of Business Development. Following this, he honed his skills further during a six-year tenure as Client Solutions Director at Transportation Insight, before ultimately returning to Jarrett in 2016 as Vice President, Sales & Marketing and was promoted in November 2022 to his current position.
Matt earned his certification as a LEAN Green Belt through Total Insight in November 2012, further solidifying his proficiency in driving operational excellence. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ashland University.
Rob Churgovich
Vice President, Human Resources
Rob Churgovich joined Jarrett in 2013 and has since risen through the ranks to become the Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Rob oversees all aspects of the Human Resources department, including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the company's people-centric culture. Starting as an HR Coordinator at Jarrett, Rob’s talent and dedication led to three promotions within just four years—a testament to his drive and expertise.
Before joining Jarrett, Rob spent two years working at Medina High School, gaining valuable experience in education and operations. In 2015, he earned the prestigious SHRM-Certified Professional designation, further cementing his credibility in the field of human resources. Rob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on human resources management from the University of Akron.
Outside of his professional role, Rob is deeply devoted to his family and community. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, is actively involved in his church, and takes advantage of Ohio’s year-round fishing opportunities.
Mark Gordon
Chief Operating Officer
Mark Gordon was promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Jarrett, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s logistics operations and driving strategic initiatives to ensure operational excellence. Previously, as Vice President of Logistics Operations, Mark led the day-to-day activities of the JLS Routing Center, playing an integral role in the growth and success of the company’s logistics functions.
Mark has been a cornerstone of Jarrett since 2010, when he joined as Lead Logistics Coordinator. His leadership and expertise quickly earned him multiple promotions, most recently serving as Director of Logistics Operations from February 2016 to January 2022. Prior to joining Jarrett, Mark gained valuable experience as a Group Leader at Target Corporation, where he managed teams at the West Jefferson Distribution Center, developing his skills in large-scale operations and team management.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Wittenberg University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Capital University, providing him with the operational, strategic, and leadership skills needed to excel in his role.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys staying active through hiking, running, skiing, and other outdoor pursuits. He treasures time spent with his wife, Carrie, and their two children, Elli and Tyler, and takes great pride in coaching their soccer teams in the fall.
Mike Frank
Senior Director, Business Development
Mike Frank joined Jarrett in 2009. As Senior Director of Business Development, he helps clients streamline their supply chains and create efficiencies within their freight transportation processes.
Prior to Jarrett, Mike spent 19 years with DHL Express, holding management positions in customer service and cartage operations.
Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends on the golf course in the spring and summer and at the bowling alley in the fall and winter.
Jason Schrier
Senior Director, Business Development
Jason Schrier joined Jarrett in September, 2020 as a Director, Business Development. He assists prospective clients in streamlining their supply chain while improving efficiencies in their transportation processes. Jason began his career in logistics with FedEx in 2010, spending 6 years in various operational roles. He then went on to spend 4 years as a Director, Business Development for Ascent Global Logistics in Michigan. Prior to the start of his logistics career, Jason spent 3 years in the military, including a tour in Iraq. Jason is IATA and Haz-Mat Certified.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, coaching football, and watching sports.
Dan Lieske
Senior Director, Business Development
Dan Lieske joined Jarrett in February, 2020 as a Director, Business Development. Dan’s role is designed to provide supply chain solutions for businesses that have a continuous improvement mindset. Each business is unique in their own way and it’s his responsibility to bridge the gap between key initiatives and current challenges. Prior to Jarrett, Dan spent 12 years with a medical equipment distributor. Dan’s passion for health and wellness helped begin his career in sales and he was promoted several times into business development and leadership roles. Dan has a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from the University of Toledo.
Dan enjoys spending time with his family, playing ice hockey, and trail running.
Jacob Ackerman
Senior Director, Contracts, Analytics and Intelligence
Jacob Ackerman joined Jarrett in December 2015 and has since been promoted five times, currently serving as the Senior Director of Contracts, Analytics, and Intelligence. In this role, Jacob is responsible for managing LTL carrier relationships, overseeing LTL pricing, purchasing, and analysis, as well as handling auditing functions, claims processing, and business intelligence reporting. His leadership in these areas has been key to optimizing Jarrett’s logistics operations.
Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Ashland University, which provides him with a strong analytical foundation for his work.
Outside of his professional life, Jacob and his wife, Merry, enjoy spending time with their two children, Hazel and Otto, who love swinging from the treehouse they built and ziplining in their backyard. Jacob is passionate about birdwatching, beekeeping, playing sports, visiting National Parks, and always embracing new learning opportunities. He is also an active member of the Oaks Church in Wooster.
Ryan Arman
Director, Customer Success
With over a decade of experience in supply chain logistics and operations at Jarrett, Ryan Arman currently serves as the Director of Customer Success. In this role, he leads the onboarding and implementation of new clients while providing operational sales support through strategic solution design for both prospective and current customers.
Ryan's career at Jarrett has been defined by key roles in operations, starting as a Logistics Coordinator in the Jarrett Routing Center, before advancing to Operations Manager and later Senior Manager of Customer Success. He holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from The University of Akron.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys hiking, biking, lifting, hunting, and traveling with his wife and three young boys.
Jill Hochstetler
Director, Logistics Operations
Jill Hochstetler was promoted to Director, Logistics Operations in January 2022, and has director-level responsibility for the day-to-day operations for the JLS Routing Center. Jill began her career at Jarrett in 2011 as an Assistant Logistics Coordinator and has been promoted six times. She received her bachelor's degree from The University of Akron.
Outside of work, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband Jon and their dog Athena. She also enjoys gardening, crafting and working on home improvement projects.
Aaron Nussbaum
Vice President, Logistics Operations
Aaron Nussbaum joined Jarrett's warehousing division in early 2019. As Vice President, Logistics Operations, he oversees Jarrett’s warehousing and international divisions along with transportation and brokerage operations, ensuring Jarrett is effectively helping clients with any warehouse storage, order fulfillment, packaging or shipping need.
Prior to joining Jarrett, Aaron spent eight years with The J.M. Smucker Company, working in corporate transportation, operations and corporate warehousing. During his time there, he worked with many Fortune 500 companies, such as Amazon, Walmart and Target, which gave him exposure to their supply chains and delivery requirements.
Aaron received his Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Mount Union, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management from Ashland University.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys practicing CrossFit with his wife, golfing, playing basketball, watching sports and spending time with his golden retriever, Riggins.
Aaron Schar
Director, Information Technologies
Aaron Schar was promoted to Director of Information Technologies in March 2018, and is responsible for managing hardware and software technology strategies to support business and client needs. Aaron joined Jarrett in March 2015, and was promoted twice before moving into his current role. Prior to joining Jarrett, Aaron spent 4 years as an IT Manager for ECS Tuning out of Wadsworth, Ohio; a fast-paced eCommerce business which sells OEM and aftermarket parts for European car brands. Aaron graduated from DeVry University in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Science in Network Systems Administration.
Aside from spending time with his wife, Abby, their dog, Maggie, and family and friends, Aaron enjoys working on home improvement projects, taking care of their small orchard and cheering on Ohio sports teams. Aaron also enjoys taking part in his small group at church and golfing.
Todd Shields
Director, Brokerage Operations
Todd Shields became Director, Brokerage Operations in September 2020. Prior to joining Jarrett in July, 2018 as a Director of Business Development, Todd spent 19 years with an asset-based dry van truckload carrier. Todd began in sales and was promoted multiple times before being named Vice President. As Vice President, he would oversee all day-to-day functions: including sales, operations, driver recruiting and retention, safety, maintenance, and finance. Todd has a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics from Southern Illinois University.
Todd graduated from Financial Peace University in 2006, and currently coordinates classes locally. In his spare time, Todd enjoys spending time with family, hunting, watching live sporting events, and serving at his local church.
Jared Williams
Vice President, Logistics Operations
Jared Williams serves as the Vice President of Logistics Operations at Jarrett, where he is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day logistics activities, ensuring seamless operations across the JLS Routing Center. Since joining Jarrett, Jared has played a critical role in driving operational excellence, leveraging his deep industry knowledge and strategic vision to enhance the company's logistics capabilities.
Jared's commitment to innovation and efficiency has been instrumental in optimizing Jarrett’s operational performance. His ability to foster collaboration and lead teams with a focus on client satisfaction has been key to supporting the company’s growth and its reputation as a logistics leader.
Jared holds a wealth of experience in managing complex logistics processes, providing solutions that are tailored to meet customer needs while maintaining high standards of service.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Jared is passionate about outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and fishing. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Karissa, and his son, Drake.
Hugh Wolf
Director, Business Development
As Director of Business Development, Hugh continues to lead the charge in identifying and evaluating new enterprise opportunities. He focuses on innovative solutions and high-impact deals that fuel Jarrett’s growth and reinforce its position as a leader in the logistics space.
Hugh and his wife, Andrea, reside in the Buffalo, New York area. They have two adult children, Alex and Katie. Outside of his professional life, Hugh is an active volunteer firefighter and enjoys reading, playing pickleball, and exploring new destinations through travel.
Madeline Fuller
General Counsel
Outside of work, you can often find Maddie working out or coaching at CrossFit Orrville. She lives in Dalton with her husband, Abram, and their rescue cat, Willow.
Jon T. Elsasser
Advisory Board Member
Jon T. Elsasser currently sits on the advisory boards of four private companies, including Jarrett, and consults on a variety of technology and general management issues.
In 2009, he retired from The Timken Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, a role that placed him in charge of all global information technology and corporate shared services. Prior to this role, he held various positions at Timken throughout his 31-year career at the company, including: Systems Analyst, Manager – Bucyrus Bearing Distribution Center; President – Timken Do Brasil; Group Vice President – Europe, Africa and West Asia and Senior Vice President – Corporate Development. Jon graduated from The College of William & Mary with a Bachelor of Economics and Harvard University with a Master of Business Administration.
Jon spends a lot of time getting involved in his community. He's a former chairman of the Ohio & Erie Canalway Association, the president of the Zoar Community Association and a former treasurer and board member of the Ohio Historical Society. He recently restored and now operates a destination restaurant, the Canal Tavern of Zoar, which is operated out of a Zoar structure that's located just outside of the historic village.
William R. McCabe
Advisory Board Member
William R. McCabe has decades of experience holding senior leadership positions within many industries. He currently sits on the advisory boards of several companies, including Jarrett. He's also a consultant for many others, helping them deal with issues related to product development, sales and marketing management, brand development, efficient manufacturing and operations and organizational structures.
In 2012, he retired as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Shearer's Foods, where he was responsible for all of the company's sales and marketing efforts. He joined Shearer's Foods in 2008, after sitting on the company's advisory board for six years. From 1991 to 2008, he worked at Smith Dairy Products Company in Orrville, Ohio. As Vice President, Marketing and R&D, he was responsible for brand and product development. He then became Vice President of Ice Cream and Marketing, a role that had him overseeing all of production. Prior to 1991, he was the Director of Marketing at The Genie Company and held consumer product line management positions at Rubbermaid and Thermos L.L.C. William began his professional career as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for Halsey Taylor. He attended propulsion engineering school while in the U.S. Navy and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology.
While working within the food industry, William was very active in industry associations. He served as the chairman of the board for the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP, the organization behind the "got milk?" campaign), was a member of the government's Fluid Milk Board and served on the marketing board of the Snack Food Association.
At the community level, William has served as a member of the economic development council for Wayne County, Ohio, as President of the Orrville, Ohio, economic development council and as an advisory board member for the Wayne County, Ohio, career center.
Richard C. Evans
Advisory Board Member
Richard C. Evans is a supply chain professional with both domestic and international experience.
He started his career at Ingersoll Rand while pursuing his Bachelor of Accounting at Rutgers University. After graduation, he held roles of increasing responsibility at Professional Tools Group in Nashville, Tennessee, before becoming Vice President of the company. He then went back to Ingersoll Rand, ultimately becoming Vice President of International Logistics and Trading over the 11-year period he was based out of Fribourg, Switzerland, and then Torrington, France. After Ingersoll Rand sold its Torrington unit to The Timken Company, Richard became Manager of Distribution Logistics and Operations for Timken North America. In this position, he merged two warehouse operations and created a new, streamlined warehouse process. After retiring from Timken, Excel Logistics (now DHL Supply Chain) brought him on as a consultant to improve their Goodyear Tire supply chain engagement.
