Jarrett’s Jill Hochstetler and Hannah Butcher Receive 2022 Women in Supply Chain Award!

Orrville, Ohio September 23, 2022 -- Jarrett is proud to announce Jill Hochstetler, Director of Logistics Operations, and Hannah Butcher, Senior Manager of Logistics Operations, have received Supply and Demand Chain Executive’s 2022 Women in Supply Chain award.  This award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship, and positive examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.

Jill Hochstetler, has received this award two times now, has been in the supply chain industry for 11 years. Beginning her career at Jarrett in 2011, she explains, “After being in the industry only a few short months, I was fascinated by all things supply chain.” When asked about winning this award, Hochstetler states “Winning this award shows the emphasis that the entire Industry, Jarrett Logistics included, has put on women and what we can bring to the table. Historically, the industry has been male dominated and through awards like this, it’s been awesome to highlight the great things that our female leaders are doing! Seeing more females in leadership roles within my own company and the industry not only makes me feel valued but makes me feel like I’ve made a difference in the industry that will be impactful for years to come!”

Hannah Butcher, recently promoted to Senior Manager of Logistics Operations, started her career in the supply chain industry when she joined Jarrett in 2014. Butcher explains, “I began in the supply chain industry because it is what keeps the world running -- an important industry that is constantly changing -- it’s exciting to be a part of!” When asked about winning this award she expresses “I am honored to be selected for this award, alongside all the other women viewed with high esteem in the industry.”

They anticipate disruption in the future of the supply chain industry. Companies will look to leverage their supply chain by choosing partners in the industry that can provide value above and beyond a rate. Continuing to incorporate technology, artificial intelligence, and other creative solutions will be key to combating the ever-changing industry.
