Jessica Renner, Cargo Claims and Risk Manager at Jarrett, has spent the past decade handling, resolving, and preventing claims and freight issues for clients and carriers. She's a Certified Claims Professional (CCP) and an Arbitrator for the Transportation Arbitration Board.
Jessica serves as the VP of Communication/ProClaim for the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council. She is also a Regional Director for the Transportation and Logistics Council's Board of Directors, where she supports the advancement and education of transportation and logistics professionals.

Scott Cornell

Scott Cornell, National Practice Leader Transportation and Crime & Theft Specialist, Travelers Inland Marine, has been with Travelers for 23 years and currently leads the Transportation division.
Scott is an expert in cargo theft and transportation, internal theft, embezzlement and corporate investigations. He helped create a fully dedicated cargo theft unit for Travelers and is a co-inventor of multiple patented processes for methods and systems providing customized risk mitigation and recovery to an insurance customer.

Keith Lewis
VP of Operations at CargoNet
Keith began his transportation career driving a tractor-trailer at his father's company. Upon graduating, he continued working in transportation while pursuing his degree in Criminal Justice.
In 2000, Keith left the logistics industry to pursue a career in law enforcement where he worked as a Task Force Agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Major Theft Unit, assisting them in undercover and sting operations. Keith currently serves as the VP of Operations for CargoNet where he manages operational efforts.

Chris Johnson, CFA is a Senior Analyst at Cleveland Research Company, where he leads the firm’s sell-side research efforts, with a particular focus on supply chain and logistics, including a comprehensive analysis of construction and agricultural equipment, heavy trucks and engines, railroads, as well as air, ocean and land freight.
Chris’s expertise extends into the nuances of supply chain dynamics and logistics management, encompassing areas such as intermodal transportation, less-than-truckload (LTL) services, and parcel delivery. His analyses provide critical insights into market trends and operational efficiencies, helping clients navigate the complexities of global logistics networks and optimize.
Mike Jarrett
President & CEO at Jarrett
Mike is the Founder and CEO of Jarrett Logistics Systems (JLS), the flagship brand in his corporate portfolio. He is known for his entrepreneurial achievements as founder or co-founder of six highly successful companies based in Northeast Ohio.
He formerly served as Vice President of Carrier Operations for Hudson, Ohio-based Caliber Logistics (now known as FedEx Supply Chain Services) as well as Roadway Express.
Mike has been named EY Entrepreneur of the Year in the Distribution and Manufacturing category and currently serves as the Chair of the Heartland Education Community Board of Trustees, the Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) Board and the University of Mount Union Board of Trustees.
Matt Wagner
Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Jarrett
Matt Wagner has more than two decades of expertise in business development and sales management, specializing in supply chain management solutions. As Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Jarrett, he is responsible for developing the sales and marketing strategy and execution to drive new business growth and brand awareness.
In 2007, he began his logistics career with Jarrett as a Manager of Business Development. Following this, he honed his skills further during a six-year tenure as Client Solutions Director at Transportation Insight, before ultimately returning to Jarrett in 2016 as Vice President, Sales & Marketing and was promoted in November 2022 to his current position.
Matt earned his certification as a LEAN Green Belt through Total Insight in November 2012, further solidifying his proficiency in driving operational excellence. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ashland University.

Tom Clark

Tom Clark is Partner and Supply Chain & Logistics Practice Leader at DRI and also leads DRI’s Military Leadership Excellence and Military Transition Practices. He has held leadership roles across Direct Recruiters Permanent Placement and Contract Staffing businesses (formerly known as Direct Consulting Associates) and was instrumental in aligning the businesses to offer clients total, customized, performance-based recruiting solutions. Tom is a former U.S. Army Captain and Airborne Ranger who led troops in combat in the global war and served as a subject matter expert on logistics.
Tom is the President of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Cleveland Roundtable and also serves CSCMP as the Regional Advisor for the Middle Atlantic and New England Regions.

Keith Peterson has more than two decades of experience in technical operations, customer success management and both product and customer support.
Currently serving as the Director of Operations for the National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA)™, he plays a pivotal role in helping to advance the industry through classification and digitization.
Prior to his role at NMFTA, Peterson started his career as a driver for TWT Refrigerated Transport, then worked in operations for System Transport and Interstate Distributor Co., all asset-based carriers. He then served in numerous strategic operations positions at Qualcomm and Omnitracs, and most recently held the position of Senior Director of Professional Services at Solera, Inc.
Adam Mercer
Classification Development Manager, NMFTA
Adam Mercer is the Classification Development Manager at the National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA)™
In this role, he is instrumental in advancing initiatives to streamline and modernize the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC®), ensuring it remains relevant and efficient for the less-than-truckload (LTL) industry.
Adam collaborates with industry stakeholders to gather data and insights, enhancing the NMFC's accuracy and applicability. He also plays a key role in organizing and conducting public meetings of the Freight Classification Development Council (FCDC), where proposed amendments to the NMFC are discussed and evaluated.
