Meanwhile, snow and freezing rain continue over the Southern U.S today, spreading into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast through Tuesday. Downwind of the Great Lakes, heavy lake effect snowfall continues with significant travel impacts expected. Tennessee
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 AM CST Tuesday morning
- Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations 3 to 6 inches for most locations. Locally higher amounts up to 8 inches possible for some spots south of Interstate 40 and across the Plateau. The far northwest counties of Middle Tennessee are expected to have the lowest amounts.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening
- Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
South Carolina
Flood Advisory remains in effect until further notice
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Flooding occurs in flood prone areas near and downstream from Columbia. Roads in low lying areas become flooded.
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice
- Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. Water over roadways is possible.
New Jersey
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST Tuesday afternoon
- Total snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EST this evening
- Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
- Impacts: Flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads along tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.

Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM PST this morning
- Visibilities in dense fog ranging from 800 feet to as low as 200 feet.
- Impacts: Low visibility will make driving conditions hazardous.
New Mexico
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 12:15 PM MST this afternoon
- West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on area roadways. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
