Moderate risks of excessive rainfall have been issued for parts of the Deep South and Gulf Coast through Wednesday. Heavy rainfall could result in numerous flash floods. Freezing rain and snow will create hazardous travel and possible power outages from the Midwest through the southern Great Lakes region and into parts of the Northeast through Wednesday. Ohio
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM EST today
- Freezing rain occurring. Additional ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch. Precipitation is expected to transition to all rain by early afternoon.
- Impacts: Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
Arizona
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 AM MST Wednesday morning
- Heavy snow expected above 7000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 AM MST Wednesday morning
- Periods of snow will continue for the next 24 hours. Snow could be locally heavy later this morning and again this evening, slowly tapering off early Wednesday morning. Heavier showers may produce an inch two of new snow in a short time frame, but may also melt off between showers.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult at times within the heavier snow showers.
California
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM PST this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Very low visibility will create dangerous driving conditions.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM PST this evening
- North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM PST today
- Minor coastal flooding expected.
- Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
Texas
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM CST today
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in freezing fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 PM CST this evening
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Water over roadways is possible.
