Summary:
A clipper storm and arctic front will trigger additional snow showers and squalls over the eastern Great Lakes, Upstate New York, interior New England, and the northern Mid-Atlantic states into this evening making for hazardous travel. A storm crossing the southern Rockies with heavy snow today will move over the south-central U.S. Thursday with areas of severe thunderstorms and excessive rain. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-25, I-40, I-15, I-20, I-10, I-35, I-37, I-69, I-30, I-49, I-55, I-22, I-75, I-4, I-77, I-81, I-64, I-68, I-70, I-95, I-76, I-80, I-90, I-86, I-88, I-87, I-84, I-91, I-93


New York
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 AM EST Thursday morning

  • Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations 5 to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph could produce some blowing snow.
  • Impacts: Travel will be very difficult with snow covered roads. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could down some tree branches and cause isolated power outages.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 AM EST Thursday morning

  • Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EST this evening

  • West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Montana
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 AM MST Thursday morning

  • West winds 45 to 55 mph, with gusts up to 75 mph expected.
  • Impacts: High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles

Texas
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning

  • Widespread fog with visibility one quarter of a mile or less at times.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Oklahoma
Flood Watch remains in effect until 3 PM CST this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways is possible and expected.
