Heavy snow and hazardous travel conditions continue across the Northern Rockies into the Northern Plains today. Further east, heavy rainfall and possible flooding extends from the Southern Plains into the Great Lakes region. The threat of additional heavy rain extends into the weekend for the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley. Record warmth spreads to the eastern third of the country. - Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
- Impacts: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 4 PM CDT this afternoon
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may become flooded.
North Dakota
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM CDT Friday afternoon
- Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- Impacts: Travel will be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning or evening commute.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM CDT Friday afternoon
- Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow will reduce visibility.

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening
- Heavy snow possible. Additional accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult, including over Teton and Togwotee passes. Blowing snow would significantly reduce visibility.

- Impacts: Travel could be difficult, with heaviest snowfall on this morning. Blowing snow could reduce visibility.
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 11:59 PM MDT this evening
- West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
- Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
Idaho

- Snow. Additional snow accumulations or around a half in Salmon and 1 to 3 inches elsewhere.
- Impacts: Travel could be affected.

- Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, except 3 to 8 inches on ridge tops and elevations above passes.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. Road closures are possible.

- West wind 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
