Elevated to critical fire-weather conditions are possible across parts of the central High Plains Tuesday. Elevated conditions are also possible in parts of central/northern Illinois. A strong cold front will bring record warmth to the central and eastern parts of the Nation this week. Additionally, severe storms are possible Tuesday and Wednesday from the Upper Midwest to the southern Plains. Wyoming
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 AM MDT Wednesday morning
- Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 10 and 15 inches. North wind 20 to 30 mph with occasional gusts around 40 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday commutes.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 AM MDT Wednesday morning
- Snow expected. Total snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches. Highest accumulations expected near Meeteetse and Sunshine Reservoir where 6 to 10 inches could fall. North wind 15 to 30 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
New Mexico
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 7 PM MDT this evening
- Southwest winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
- Impacts: Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM MDT this evening
- Southwest winds 30 to 39 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on area roadways. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Florida
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice
- Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Major flooding occurs with water entering many structures on canals and along the river. Long duration flooding will occur, with levels taking weeks to months to return below flood stage. Roads becomes inaccessible, with 1 to 2 feet water depth on numerous roads.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 5 AM EDT Thursday morning
- Minor coastal flooding.
- Impacts: Flooding of low lying areas, parks, campgrounds and roadways.
Mississippi
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
