As colder air slides east and south, frost and freeze conditions with new record low temperatures are expected through the middle of the week. In addition, lake effect snow in the vicinity of the Great Lakes will make for hazardous traveling conditions where several inches of snow are expected. Michigan
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11:59 PM EDT this evening
- Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 6 inches.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
Florida
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon
- Minor coastal flooding.
- Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
California
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM PDT this afternoon
- Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
