A cold front sweeping through the central U.S. will usher in more seasonable temperatures along with isolated severe thunderstorms in parts of the Midwest and Mississippi River Valley. Oregon
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM PDT Friday evening
- Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches above 4000 feet and 12 to 24 inches above 5000 feet.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM PDT Friday evening
- Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches above 4000 feet and 10 to 17 inches above 5000 feet.
- Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM PDT this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Florida
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice
- Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Moderate flooding occurs with water entering many structures on canals and along the river. Roads becomes inaccessible, up to 1 feet water depth on numerous roads.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 5 AM EDT Friday morning
- Minor coastal flooding.
- Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
Ohio
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM EDT this afternoon
- Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
