A cold front in the southern Plains will produce heavy rain and a flooding threat in the Arklatex area. These storms are expected to sink southward and weaken over South Texas on Thursday, and produce some moderate to locally heavy rainfall across southern Texas through the week. Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:45 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM CDT Friday morning
- Minor coastal flooding.
- Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
Maine
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM EDT this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
California
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM PDT this afternoon
- Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
