Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the Southeast. A significant arctic outbreak will arrive in the northern Plains on Thanksgiving and advance farther south and east on Friday into the weekend. Dangerous wind chill temperatures are expected with heavy lake effect snow downwind of the Great Lakes. Colorado
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM MST this evening
- Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM MST this evening
- Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to 3 inches possible.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions.
New Mexico
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 8 PM MST this evening
- West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected.
- Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM MST this afternoon
- West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on area roadways. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM MST this evening
- Snow expected. Up to 5 inches of additional snow accumulation expected. West wind gusts up to 40 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Some roads may be closed, including Highway 64. Significant travel delays are possible. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CST this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Vermont
Winter Storm Watch remains in effect until 1 AM EST Friday morning
- Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 7 inches or more are possible.
- Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact travel around the Thanksgiving holiday.
