Summary:
A series of Pacific storm systems will continue to impact the Northwest U.S. into this coming weekend with periods of gusty winds, high surf, low elevation rain, and heavy mountain snow. Severe thunderstorms will be possible on Thursday across central/east Texas into western Louisiana and possibly the ArkLaTex and southeast Oklahoma. Washington
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening
- Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches above 3500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph with blowing snow.
- Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Significant snowfall with periods of heavy snowfall rates will combine with low visibility to create very difficult driving conditions. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM PST this afternoon
- Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult.
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 1 PM PST this afternoon
- South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.
- Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM PST this afternoon
- Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong will make travel difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM PST this afternoon
- Minor coastal flooding expected. Inundation of around 2.5 to 2.75 feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas.
- Impacts: Significant coastal flooding due to high tides and storm surge is expected. This could lead to road closures. Low lying property including some critical infrastructure may be inundated.
Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 2 PM PST this afternoon
- Significant coastal flooding expected. Inundation of between 2 and 2.5 feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas.
- Impacts: Significant coastal flooding due to high tides and storm surge is expected. This could lead to road closures. Low lying property including some critical infrastructure may be inundated.
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice
- Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Moderate flooding, with deep and quick flood waters inundating some residential areas and many roads. Do not travel through flooded sections of roads.

Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning
- Visibility one half mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Visibilities are expected to be reduced to less than one quarter mile by dense fog. Rapidly changing visibility will create hazardous driving conditions.
