A strong cold front travels across the Plains Friday, Great Lakes to Gulf Coast Saturday, then arrives at the East Coast on Sunday with areas of showers and storms expected. Cold high pressure in the wake of the front will bring areas of gusty winds and snow to the Rockies and Northern Plains Friday into Saturday. Utah
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM MST this evening
- Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 18 inches, locally up to 2 feet in the Upper Cottonwoods.
- Impacts: Winter driving conditions are expected on all mountain routes including the Cottonwood Canyons, Logan Summit and Parleys Summit on Interstate 80. Blowing and drifting snow may reduce visibilities to near 0 at times on US-89 on Logan Summit.

- Snow. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches.
- Impacts: Winter driving conditions can be expected including during the Friday morning and evening commutes.

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 3 PM PST this evening
- Northeast winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected.
- Impacts: Damaging winds may blow down large objects such as trees and power lines. Power outages are likely. Travel will be difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 AM PST Saturday morning
- Northeast winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected.
- Impacts: Areas of north to northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Isolated gusts to 60 mph near Montecito Hills this evening.

- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways.
