Summary:
A winter storm will continue to impact the Mid-Atlantic through tonight with areas of heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain. A winter storm will begin to impact the Central Plains Wednesday, bringing heavy snow from central Kansas through much of Lower Michigan. This system will also produce a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain from central Oklahoma through Missouri and into Ohio. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-84, I-80, I-10, I-15, I-70, I-76, I-25, I-40, I-27, I-29, I-72, I-39, I-90, I-94, I-41, I-35, I-44, I-45, I-49, I-20, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-22, I-75, I-95, I-16, I-26, I-96, I-69, I-64, I-73, I-74, I-85, I-77, I-71, I-86, I-88, I-87, I-91, I-93


Ohio
Ice Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 AM EST Thursday morning

  • Significant icing expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of around an inch and ice accumulations of up to three tenths of an inch.
  • Impacts: Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 AM EST this morning

  • Significant icing. Additional ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch.
  • Impacts: Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 AM EST Thursday morning

  • Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

Texas
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 9 PM CST this evening

  • West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles like campers, vans, and tractor trailers.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM CST this evening

  • West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 12:15 PM CST this afternoon

  • Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to a half inch for the northern Texas Panhandle and the entire Oklahoma Panhandle. Additional ice accumulations from a trace up to a few hundredths are possible.
  • Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.

Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM CST this morning

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. Driving conditions will be hazardous due to low visibility and rapid changes in visibility over short distances. Fog and drizzle will make some road surfaces slick and significantly reduce stopping ability.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 6 PM CST Friday evening

  • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning

  • Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Water may be over roadways.
