An atmospheric river will bring heavy rain and mountain snow to the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies today through at least Tuesday. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 AM MST this morning
- Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to three inches.
- Impacts: Travel will be very difficult for the morning commute.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM MST this morning
- Snow. Snow may be heavy at times. Snow accumulations of around three inches with locally higher amounts possible.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
Pennsylvania
Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect until 11 AM EST this morning
- Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM EST this morning
- Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch.
- Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.
Kentucky
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice
- Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until further notice
- Elevated river levels caused by excessive rainfall are expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas with water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
California
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 2 PM PST this afternoon
- Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Local gusts of 40 to 50 mph in the favored hills and mountains.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM PST Saturday morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
Idaho
Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 PM MST Monday afternoon
- Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Water may be over roadways. Runoff will increase the risk for rock and mudslides below steep terrain.
