Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect until 10 AM EST Saturday morning
- Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 10 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph today will produce considerable blowing and drifting snow.
- Impacts: Travel will be difficult. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility and roads can quickly become snow covered, causing very slick conditions. Strong and gusty winds could down trees or tree branches, causing isolated power outages. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
