U.S. Weather Update 3.10.25

Summary:
Scattered showers and isolated strong/severe thunderstorms are expected across the Southeast through Monday with scattered instances of flash flooding possible across portions of southern Georgia and northern Florida. Dry and windy conditions may produce fire weather conditions across much of the Great Plains, especially in the Northern Plains where critical fire weather conditions are expected. Impacted Lanes: I-90, I-15, I-94, I-29, I-80, I-25, I-95, I-4, I-75, I-10, I-20


Montana
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening

  • West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around 65 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Strong crosswinds will make travel difficult on I-90 and US-191. Consider taking an alternate route, especially if traveling in a high profile vehicle. High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause isolated power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening

  • Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Strong crosswinds will make travel difficult along Interstate 90.

Florida
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice

  • Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to continuous rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10:15 AM EDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Flood Watch remains in effect until 10:30 AM EDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways is expected. 

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EDT this evening

  • Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

North Carolina
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM EDT Tuesday morning

  • Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level expected in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
