Summary:
A Pacific storm will move through the western U.S. Monday and Tuesday with areas of heavy mountain snow, gusty to high winds, and lower elevation rain. Ahead of this storm, gusty winds and dry conditions over much of the central and southern Plains will contribute to widespread critical fire weather conditions Monday and Tuesday. Wyoming
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM MDT Tuesday evening
- Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 24 inches over the northern end of the mountains and 12 to 15 inches over the far southern end. Amounts of 4 to 8 inches elsewhere. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph this evening and quickly decreasing.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening, Tuesday morning and Tuesday evening commutes.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT Tuesday evening
- Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches, with locally higher amounts up to 18 inches in the higher elevations. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening, Tuesday morning and Tuesday evening commutes.
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 11 PM MDT Tuesday evening
- West to southwest winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.
- Impacts: Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:30 PM EDT this evening
- Flooding caused by rain or snowmelt continues.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening
- Flooding caused by rain or snowmelt or ice jam continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Water over roadways is possible.
Tennessee
Flood Warning remains in effect until 1 PM CDT Tuesday afternoon
- Minor flood is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 7 AM CDT Wednesday morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Nevada
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM PDT this evening
- Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 8 to 18 inches above 7000 feet with 4 to 12 inches below 7000 feet. Locally higher amounts up to 2 feet possible on the highest peaks. Ridge winds gusting as high as 75 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 5 PM PDT Tuesday evening
- West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
- Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM PDT Tuesday morning
- West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
