Gusty winds and dry conditions will continue elevated to critical fire weather Thursday over the southern High Plains eastern Florida Peninsula. Two Pacific storms will impact the Northwest U.S. with heavy mountain snow and low elevation rain from Thursday into Saturday. Washington
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM MDT this evening
- Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 15 inches. Accumulations up to 20 inches above 5000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM MDT this evening
- Snow expected. Additional snow accumulations up to 6 to 12 inches.

Wyoming
High WInd Warning remains in effect until 7 PM MDT Friday evening
- Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts around 60 mph expected Thursday, then west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts around 60 mph Thursday night and Friday.
- Impacts: Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers.
Tennessee
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 AM EDT Friday morning
- Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 to 3 inches for 2500 feet elevation and higher. Isolated higher totals possible at highest peaks 5000 feet and higher. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EDT this evening
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Connecticut
Flood Warning remains in effect until 4 AM EDT Saturday morning
- Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
Maryland
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning
- Visibility one quarter to one half mile in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
West Virginia
WInd Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM EDT Friday morning
- Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
