Strong to severe thunderstorms will bring scattered to widespread damaging winds and possibly several tornadoes overnight and Monday from the Ohio Valley into the Southeast U.S. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions will continue Monday over the southern High Plains. A Pacific storm will continue heavy mountain snow and gusty winds in California through Monday. Louisiana
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 12:45 PM CDT this afternoon
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice
- Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
California
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM PDT Tuesday evening
- Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet possible. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
- Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM PDT Tuesday evening
- Heavy snow. Snow accumulations between 10 to 18 inches and up to 2 feet possible in the highest elevations. Ridge winds gusting as high as 90 mph. Southwest winds gusting up to 55 mph
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Blowing snow could cause reduced visibilities. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
High WInd Warning remains in effect until 9 PM PDT this evening
- Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 55 to 65 mph.
- Impacts: Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
WInd Advisory remains in effect until 2 AM PDT Wednesday morning
- West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 to 60 mph.
- Impacts: Difficult driving conditions, especially for larger vehicles traveling along roads with crosswinds. Light, unsecured objects may become airborne. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
