Lake effect snow will continue downwind of the Lower Great Lakes through Wednesday, with accumulations of 4 to 8 inches possible for portions of Upstate New York and the Adirondacks. Gusty winds and dry conditions will result in critical fire weather conditions in the Southwest and Southern Plains Wednesday through Friday. Red Flag Warnings have been issued. Wyoming
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 12:15 PM MDT Friday afternoon
- Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- Impacts: Roads, including Interstate 90, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact commutes.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 12:15 PM MDT Friday afternoon
- Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Kentucky
Flood Warning remains in effect until 11 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by last week's excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.
Washington
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening
- North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
