Thunderstorms, some severe, may produce heavy to excessive rainfall and isolated flooding over portions of the Southern Plains today and Saturday. Dry conditions, combined with gusty winds and low relative humidities will continue to support an elevated to critical fire weather threat in the Desert Southwest into to early next week. Arkansas
Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice.
- Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Water is over roadways.
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
- Visibility of a quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Visibilities are expected to be locally reduced to less than one quarter mile by dense fog. Rapidly changing visibility will create hazardous driving conditions.
California
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM PDT Sunday morning
- Snow. Snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches above 7000 feet with up to 10 inches along the highest peaks. 1 to 3 inches at lake level. Ridge winds gusts up to 60 mph.
- Impacts: Travel could be difficult at times. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute and weekend travel.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM PDT Sunday morning
- West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
- Impacts: Difficult driving conditions, especially for larger vehicles traveling along roads with crosswinds. Light, unsecured objects may become airborne.
