A strong cold front will produce severe storms capable of very large hail and locally heavy rain across a wide swath of south and eastern Texas, including Dallas-Fort Worth, and into Oklahoma. Gusty winds will keep fire weather threats elevated to critical across the desert Southwest. Texas
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening
- North winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Blowing dust will lower visibility locally creating difficult travel conditions.
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 1 AM CDT Saturday morning
- Northeast winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.
- Impacts: Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Colorado
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM MDT this afternoon
- Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM MDT this morning
- North winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

- Visibility one to two miles in dense fog.
- Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
North Dakota
Flood Warning remains in effect until 4 PM CDT this afternoon
- Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Nevada
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM MDT this afternoon
- Ponding of water in low-lying areas and small stream flooding caused by snowmelt continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Streams and creeks running high. Water over a few roadways.
