Summary:
A High Risk (Level 4 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall has been issued for portions of east Texas into western Louisiana today. For weeks, heavy rainfall has fallen across the Gulf coast states so any additional rainfall today will likely lead to life threatening flash flooding. Severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, severe winds and tornadoes will also be possible in central Texas. Impacted Lanes: I-40, I-25, I-20, I-35, I-44, I-240, I-49, I-95, I-395, I-195, I-495, I-84, I-384, I-90, I-91


Texas
Flood Warning remains in effect until 9 AM CDT Friday morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Water is over roadways. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Friday evening

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Oklahoma
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:45 AM CDT this morning

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

Pennsylvania 
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Washington
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM PDT this evening

  • West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
