The intense and dangerous heat wave in Texas and parts of the Southern U.S. will continue the rest of the week and these sweltering temperatures will persist into next week. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible in parts of the High Plains to the Upper Midwest the next few days. Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:15 AM EDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water may be over roadways.
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:15 AM EDT this morning
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 9 PM EDT Friday evening
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Colorado
Flood Warning remains in effect until 1:45 AM MDT Friday morning
- Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

- Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water may be over roadways.

- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM PDT this evening
- Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph, are expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

- Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.
- Impacts: Water may be over roadways.
