Summary:
Severe thunderstorms will be possible Monday across the northern and central Plains centered over Nebraska and South Dakota. Areas of damaging winds and sporadic hail will be possible. Another round of hot temperatures arrives Monday over the central and southern U.S. spreading into the Eastern U.S. by Independence Day. North Carolina
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning
- Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
- Impacts: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Nebraska
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning
- Visibility less than 1/4 mile in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
South Carolina
Flood Watch remains in effect until 9 PM EDT this evening
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Water may be over roadways.
