Summary:
Extremely dangerous heat continues in the Western U.S. the rest of the week with widespread Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories. Hazardous heat will expand in coverage over portions of the central and eastern U.S. late this weekend into next week, with the heat expected to persist longer over portions of the southeastern U.S. and the East Coast. Impacted Lanes: I-90, I-80, I-69, I-40, I-87, I-89, I-95


Maine
Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:15 AM EDT this morning

  • Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning

  • Small stream and creek flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 AM EDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

Tennessee
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning

  • Visibility of one quarter of a mile or less in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Additional Flood Warnings include but are not limited to: Illinois, Vermont, Indiana, New York, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Texas, and New Hampshire  

Additional Flood Advisories include but are not limited to: North Carolina, Arkansas, and Minnesota

Additional Flood Watches include but are not limited to: New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire

Additional Dense Fog Advisories include but are not limited to: Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Mississippi
