Summary:
Heavy to excessive rainfall will persist through Thursday from southeast Texas into southern Louisiana, bringing the threat of flash, urban and small stream flooding. A Moderate Risk (level 3 of 4) of excessive rainfall is in effect through Thursday. Dangerous heat will continue across the Western U.S. and northern Plains through Thursday. High temperatures could reach or exceed 100 degrees. Impacted Lanes: I-10, I-69, I-45, I-20, I-55, I-59, I-40, I-85, I-16, I-75, I-26, I-95, I-64


Texas
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 8:30 AM CDT this morning

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Flood Watch remains in effect until 10:00 PM CDT this evening

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:00 PM CDT Sunday evening

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

Nebraska
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

  • Visibility less than one quarter mile in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

California
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 AM PDT Friday morning

  • Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Additional Flood Watches include but are not limited to: Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia
