Summary:
Tropical Storm Ernesto continues to track closer toward the USVI and Puerto Rico as deteriorating conditions are expected today. Meanwhile, dangerous heat conditions across the Southern Plains and Gulf Coast continues. Heat, dry fuels and isolated dry thunderstorms may initiate additional fires across the west. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain for areas of Central Plains and Mississippi Valley. Impacted Lanes: I-70, I-35, I-26, I-85, I-40, I-77, I-74, I-73


Kansas
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:30 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:15 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

New Mexico
Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 PM MDT this evening

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Additional Flood Warnings include but are not limited to: Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado, Missouri, Michigan, Louisiana, Florida, and South Carolina

Additional Flood Advisories include but are not limited to: South Carolina
