A prolonged period of hot temperatures remains on tap for the southern U.S over the next few days. In some areas, high temperatures are forecast to climb into the triple digits. A series of storms will bring strong winds and coastal impacts including rip currents to portions of interior Alaska and along the western Coast. Flood Warning remains in effect until 12:15 PM CDT this afternoon
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 8:15 AM CDT this morning
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 8:15 AM CDT this morning
- Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Oregon
Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 AM PDT Sunday morning
- Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding of low-lying areas and urbanized street flooding.
Maine
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EDT this morning
- Visibility of a quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
