Summary:
Heavy rainfall along with a few tornadoes will impact portions of the East today. This storm will lift northward across New England through this evening. In its wake, a quieter weather pattern from the Great Plains to the mid-Atlantic and Northeast this weekend. A stalled frontal boundary may bring more rainfall from the Four Corners to the Southeast this weekend. For the South, the heat continues. Pennsylvania
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 1:45 PM EDT this afternoon
- Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:15 AM EDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EDT this evening
- Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
- Impacts: Flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads along tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways is possible.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening
- Southeast winds 10 to 20 mph with occasional gusts of 45 to 50 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Frequent gusts of 35 to 45 mph winds will be possible which when combined with saturated grounds will have the potential to bring down trees. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
