Francine will slowly move north across Mississippi today into Friday. Francine will continue to bring heavy rainfall and the risk of flash and urban flooding, along with river flooding, across portions of the Lower Mississippi Valley, Tennessee Valley, and the Southeast. A few tornadoes are possible from the Florida Panhandle to north-central Alabama along with gusty winds and storm surge. Louisiana
Storm Surge Warning remains in effect until 9 PM CDT this evening
- Storm Surge: Life-threatening storm surge possible. The potential for 3-5 feet above ground.
- Impacts: Areas of inundation with storm surge flooding accentuated by waves. Flooding of roads is possible.
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning
- Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Flood Warning remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening
- Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 AM MDT Friday morning
- Snow expected above 6500 feet. Likelihood of moderate impacts from 3 to 6 inches of snow is greater than 90 percent, and up to a 50 percent chance of isolated major impacts from 6 to 10 inches or more of snow.
- Impacts: Hazardous traveling conditions on roads is expected.

- Flash flooding and debris flows caused by excessive rainfall.
- Impacts: Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding of low-lying areas, urbanized street flooding, and debris flows.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10:45 AM CDT this morning
- Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 PM CDT this evening
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
- Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Water over roadways.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 1 AM CDT Friday morning
- Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
