Colder than normal temperatures across much of the west with showers and some snow for the higher terrain of the northern Intermountain West and Rockies through the end of the week. Strong to severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall for portions of the Plains through Friday. South Dakota
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
- Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Montana
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening
- Wet snow expected above 6500 Feet. Total snow accumulations 1 to 2 inches. Above 7500 feet 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. The more intense showers could drive snow levels down below 6500 feet.
- Impacts: Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening
- Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
- Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Florida
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10:15 AM EDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Minnesota
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
- Visibility one quarter to one half mile in dense fog.
- Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
