Summary:
Isolated severe thunderstorms are forecast Monday afternoon from the Ozarks into parts of the Tennessee and lower Ohio Valleys. A tropical disturbance could form by the middle part of next week over the northwestern Caribbean Sea. Gradual development is possible as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico late week with possible U.S. impacts next weekend. Impacted Lanes: I-20, I-35, I-45, I-30, I-49, I-70, I-44, I-55, I-64, I-24, I-57
Missouri
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning
- Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
- Impacts: Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas.
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
- Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
- Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Virginia
Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 4 AM EDT Wednesday morning
- Up to two feet of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas due to tidal flooding.
- Impacts: Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas. Water will be 1 to 2 feet above ground level in some areas resulting in a sufficient depth to close some roads. Flooding will extend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays resulting in some road closures and flooding of vehicles.
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM EDT Tuesday evening
- Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
- Impacts: Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property will experience shallow flooding.
