Summary:
A heatwave is poised to bring record-breaking temperatures across the Western United States through the weekend. Triple digit high temperatures are expected as Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect. Hot and humid conditions will spread into the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic through the weekend and into next week. Heat index values up to 110 degrees will be possible. Impacted Lanes: I-40, I-44, I-35, I-64, I-69, I-65


Oklahoma 
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:30 AM CDT this morning

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Missouri
Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:30 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

Alabama
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 1 AM CDT Sunday morning

  • Minor coastal flooding expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding due to wave run-up of localized vulnerable areas along the Gulf facing beaches is possible. Some minor flooding of parking lots, normally dry beach areas and a few isolated roads could occur in normally flood prone areas.

New Mexico
Flood Watch remains in effect until 11:59 PM MDT this evening

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

Summary:
Severe thunderstorms are expected Wednesday, particularly across parts of the Ozarks and Ohio Valley, and portions of the northern and central Plains. Excessive rainfall is forecast Wednesday in the Midwest which may bring areas of flash flooding. Excessive heat with potential records will continue to impact much of California away from the immediate coast into the weekend. Summary:
Severe thunderstorms are expected mainly from Kansas into northern Missouri and into Iowa Tuesday. Damaging winds will be the most likely threat, with large hail possible. An Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5) of severe thunderstorms is in effect. Hot conditions will continue across the Southern Plains Tuesday, spreading into the southeast and Mid-Atlantic by Independence Day. Impacted Lanes: I-75, I-16, I-95, I-80, I-90, I-29, I-35, I-94, I-41, I-43


Iowa
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:15 AM CDT this morning

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Flood Warning remains in effect until 2:30 PM CDT this afternoon

  • Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

Flood Watch remains in effect until 12:15 PM CDT this afternoon

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

Severe thunderstorms will be possible Monday across the northern and central Plains centered over Nebraska and South Dakota. Areas of damaging winds and sporadic hail will be possible. Another round of hot temperatures arrives Monday over the central and southern U.S. spreading into the Eastern U.S. by Independence Day. Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. 

Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning

  • Visibility less than 1/4 mile in dense fog.
  • Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

South Carolina
Flood Watch remains in effect until 9 PM EDT this evening

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Water may be over roadways.

Large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats, as well as a couple tornadoes possible.   • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM MDT this evening

  • West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Sudden wind gusts can cause drivers to lose control, especially in lightweight or high profile vehicles. Strong winds can cause blowing dust, reduced visibility, and flying debris.

Monsoon-like conditions persist for the Four Corners Region where additional flooding is possible through tonight. Impacted Lanes: I-90, I-29, I-94, I-70, I-25, I-40, I-86, I-84, I-15, I-10, I-65

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

Nebraska
Flood Warning remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Tuesday evening

  • Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
  • Impacts: At 33.0 feet, Portions of Highway 34 and Interstate 29 will be closed due to flooding.

Idaho
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM MDT this evening

  • Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Unsecured objects may be blown around. Blowing dust is likely, especially near plowed fields. Blowing dust could cause reduced visibilities.

Colorado
Flood Watch remains in effect until 11:59 PM MDT this evening

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may become flooded. Water over roadways is expected.

A Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) of severe thunderstorms is in effect. A heat wave will continue into Tuesday from the Great Plains into the lower Mississippi River Valley and in northern Florida. Minnesota 
Flood Warning remains in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
  • Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

Wisconsin
Flood Advisory remains in effect until 9:15 AM CDT this morning

  • Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

  • Minor coastal flooding.
  • Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.

Arizona
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11 AM MST this morning

  • East winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
  • Impacts: Difficult driving conditions, especially for larger vehicles traveling along roads with crosswinds. Light, unsecured objects may become airborne.

New Mexico
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 8:45 AM MDT this morning

  • Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.
  • Impacts: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 AM MDT Friday morning

  • East and southeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on area roadways. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 PM MDT this evening

  • Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
