Montana
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 12 PM MST Saturday afternoon

  • West to southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM MST Monday evening

  • Southwest winds with gusts 50 to 60 mph at times tonight through Sunday, then gusts 60 to 70 mph Sunday night into Monday.
  • Impacts: Strong crosswinds will make travel difficult along Interstate 90 from Livingston to Big Timber and roads along the Beartooth Foothills.

North Carolina
Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EST this evening

  • 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level expected in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

Montana
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 12:15 PM MST Saturday afternoon

  • West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected across eastern Glacier county and gusts to around 75 mph expected in areas immediately adjacent to the Rocky Mountain Front.
  • Impacts: High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Locally considerable flash, urban, and small stream flooding impacts are possible along the Transverse Ranges in southern California. Severe thunderstorms pose a threat for hail, damaging wind gusts, and an isolated tornado across portions of the Sacramento Valley. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 PM PST Thursday afternoon

  • Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 18 inches above 6000 feet with up to 2 feet above 7500 feet. Wind gusting as high as 50 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Gusty wind could bring down tree branches.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 AM PST Friday morning

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches with up to 14 inches over high remote terrain. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be difficult. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening

  • South wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

A Nor’easter will rapidly develop tonight and bring strong winds and heavy snowfall from the central Appalachians through southern New England which could damage trees, power lines, and disrupt travel. There is some uncertainty in the location of the heavy rain/snow line through the densely populated Northeast urban corridor. Coastal flooding is expected along portions of the East Coast. Pennsylvania 
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 PM EST this afternoon

  • Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM EST this afternoon

  • Wet snow. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM EST Wednesday morning

  • Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads along tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.

North Carolina
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM EST this afternoon

  • Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. 

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 3 PM EST this afternoon

  • Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
  • Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 1AM EST Wednesday morning

  • Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 4 PM EST this afternoon

  • Up to 2 to 3 feet of inundation above ground level with local amounts up to 4 feet possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Up to 2 to 3 feet with local levels of 4 feet of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas. Some roads and low lying property will experience flooding and an elevated threat of property damage. Some road closures and flooding of vehicles will be possible. 

Oregon
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST Wednesday evening

  • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. Snow levels will be around 4500 to 5000 feet. Snow levels will be highest during Wednesday afternoon. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. 
  • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Freezing Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM PST this morning 

  • Visibility one quarter mile in freezing fog.
  • Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and potential frost on bridges.

  • Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

Summary:
A significant winter storm from the Mid-South today will transition to a strong Nor'easter for the Mid-Atlantic and New England by Tuesday. Severe thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding will be possible across portions of the Southeast today. A new storm system arrives across the Pacific Northwest by the middle of the week with areas of locally heavy rain and mountain snowfall. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-80, I-90, I-94, I-25, I-44, I-49, I-40, I-30, I-530, I-20, I-10, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-85, I-75, I-16, I-95, I-26, I-77


Georgia
Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 12:30 PM EST this afternoon

  • Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
  • Impacts: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM EST Tuesday afternoon

  • Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. 

Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 PM EST this evening

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
  • Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, roadways, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

Pennsylvania
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 PM EST Tuesday afternoon

  • Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 9 to 12 inches.
  • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute.

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM EST Tuesday afternoon

  • Rain will change over to snow. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

  • Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

High Wind Warning remains in effect until 5 AM MST Tuesday morning

  • West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
  • Impacts: Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers.

Delaware
Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 3 AM EST Wednesday morning

  • One to two feet of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Widespread roadway flooding occurs in coastal and bayside communities and along inland tidal waterways. Many roads become impassable.

Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM EST Tuesday afternoon

  • Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
  • Impacts: Flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads along tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.

Flood Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM CST this morning

  • Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
  • Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
