      A storm system will move from the southern Plains to the Northeast U.S. through Wednesday with severe thunderstorms for the northern Gulf states, gusty winds and heavy rain for the Southeast, and a wintry mix for the interior Northeast. Strong offshore Santa Ana winds with gusts over 60 mph are forecast into Tuesday morning in southern California.       California
      High Wind Warning remains in effect until 12 PM PST today

      • Areas of northeast winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts to 65 mph. Local gusts to 75 mph through mid morning.
      • Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down large objects such as trees and power lines. Power outages are likely. Travel will be difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.

      Wind Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM PST today

      • Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. Isolated gusts to 65 mph in the hills.
      • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

      Pennsylvania
      Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST this afternoon

      • Mixed precipitation expected. Ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch on the highest elevations, little to no ice in the valleys. Snow and sleet accumulations less than an inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
      • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

      Summary:
      A cold front is producing strong winds, high-elevation snows, coastal and valley rains, and a surge of cold air across much of the western U.S this weekend. A pre-Thanksgiving storm may bring areas of severe thunderstorms, gusty winds, heavy rain, and heavy snow from the central to the eastern U.S. early in the week which will impact travel. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-80, I-15, I-40, I-10, I-25, I-27, I-90, I-22, I-65, I-20, I-75, I-24, I-81, I-77, I-76, I-68

      California
      Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this evening

      • Areas of northeast winds 20 to 30 with gusts to 45 mph.
      • Impacts: Damaging winds could blow down large objects such as trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.

      High Wind Warning remains in effect until 10 AM PST Tuesday morning

      • Areas of north to northeast 30 to 50 mph with gusts to 70 mph. Local gusts to 80 mph in the western San Gabriel mountains today. 
      • Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down large objects such as trees and power lines. Power outages are likely. Travel will be difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.

      New Mexico
      Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 AM MST Tuesday morning

      • Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
      • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This includes portions of I-25 near Raton Pass. Strong winds could cause areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility. 

      Wind Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM MST this evening

      • North winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. 
      • Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on east to west oriented roadways, including Interstate 40.

      North Carolina
      Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EST this evening

      • Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
      • Impacts: The lowest portions of USS North Carolina Road and Battleship Road begin to observe minor coastal flooding. Water begins to spread out of storm drains onto Water Street just south of Market Street in downtown Wilmington. 

      WInd Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM EST Tuesday evening

      • Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph across the area with gusts up to 55 mph over higher elevations.
      • Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

      Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 AM PST this morning

      • Visibility one quarter mile or less in areas of dense fog. Localized visibility as low as a couple hundred feet.

      Summary:
      A strong winter storm in southern Alaska may produce numerous hazards that will cause reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions through Thursday. Near-record to record-breaking warm temperatures are expected from the Southern Plains to the Central/Southern Appalachians. Gusty Santa Ana winds and low humidity will bring locally critical fire conditions to portions of southern California. Impacted Lanes: I-5, I-15, I-40, I-10, I-70, I-94, I-90, I-35, I-135, I-55, I-12, I-59, I-65, I-87, I-89, I-91, I-95

      Minnesota
      Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 AM CST this morning

      • Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to two to four inches.
      • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

      Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CST this morning

      • Wet snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch.
      • Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
