Summary:
Another Pacific storm will bring additional rounds of heavy coastal and low elevation rain, mountain snow, and high winds to California and southern Oregon. Heavy rain with the potential for flash flooding and isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across portions of the central Gulf coast. Alabama
Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning
- Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.
- Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
Flood Warning remains in effect until 1 PM CDT Thursday afternoon
- Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
- Impacts: As rivers continue to rise, flooding will occur near the rivers impacted. Water may be over roadways near the rivers.
California
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 11 PM PDT this evening
- Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches, except 12 to 20 inches west of Highway 395. Winds gusting up to 45 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph for wind prone locations along US-395. Stronger winds anticipated along the US-395 corridor. Slight decrease in high end of snowfall range.
- Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Gusty winds may create whiteout conditions at times and produce considerable drifting of snow.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 AM PDT Wednesday morning
- Heavy snow. Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches.
- Impacts: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
High Wind Warning remains in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening
- South winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
- Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening
- South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. Gusts may exceed 65 mph for wind prone locations along I-580 and US-395.
- Impacts: Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
