Summary: A front moving onshore in the Pacific Northwest will result in lower elevation rainfall and mountain snow. Persistent dry, gusty winds will impact the southern to central High Plains through the week with elevated to critical fire weather conditions prevailing each day. Scattered strong storms will be possible in the Southeast U.S. Monday afternoon.

Oregon

  • Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 11 AM this morning to 5 AM PDT Tuesday
    • Snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches above 4000 feet
      • 8 to 15 inches above 5000 feet
    • Heaviest snowfall is expected Monday evening with up to 1 inch per hour accumulations possible at times
    • Winds will gust 30 to 40 mph on higher terrain

Summary: An unsettled pattern continues from portions of the Southern Plains into the Southeast with isolated instances of severe weather and/or flash flooding possible into the weekend. A series of storms will bring low elevation rain, mountain snow, and some strong winds to the Pacific Northwest and northern California into the Rockies into early next week

Summary: A large storm system will be responsible for a period of very active weather across many areas of the lower 48 into the middle of the week. Threats associated with this storm include blizzard conditions across the northern Plains, extremely critical fire weather across the High Plains, and a multi-day severe weather and flooding threat from the Plains into the MS River Valley. Impacted: I-25, I-29, I-70, I-90, and I-94

Summary: A multi-day severe weather threat continues the next three days for a large chunk of the U.S. from two separate weather systems. For Tuesday, severe storms with a swath of damaging winds and strong tornadoes are likely across the central Gulf Coast states and in parts of the Southeast. Then on Wednesday, the Southeastern quadrant of the U.S. will once again see another round of severe storms.

Washington
Winter Storm Warning / Wind Advisory
  • Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 8 AM PDT this morning
    • Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 10 and 20 inches
    • Winds gusting as high as 50 mph
    • Impacts: Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
  • Wind Advisory in effect until 7 PM PDT this evening
    • West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected
